A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten address under the same domain name, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running a business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving spam emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to receive only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly in case you’ve got a shared hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-laden, yet really intuitive, and it will enable you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one you’ll see a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it twice will disable it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got another one with this feature enabled or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled with ease in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll see a mini symbol conveniently situated right next to each one. With only one click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option using the menu that will come into sight. If any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will notify you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
